Alison Findlay

Alison is a qualified social worker who has worked in a range of settings during her 34 year social work career. From children’s and older people’s care homes, frontline social work teams in children and families and adult services to senior management positions from Aberdeen to Ayrshire via Lanarkshire.

Alison is driven by a passion for social justice and fairness. She was compelled to pursue a social work career by a recognition that people’s life courses can be so different as a consequence of their experiences, surroundings, opportunities and how other’s respond to them.

Alison continues to believe having the opportunity to walk alongside people so they can recognise and exercise their own power is an honour.

Alison leads the Future Pathways work for the Community Brokerage Network and is an asset bringing a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge to the role.
