Social Work Scotland has announced the release of the newly revised SDS Standards. These standards define what good Self-directed Support (SDS) looks like and aim to promote best practices and effective SDS implementation across Scotland.
Co-produced with a diverse group of stakeholders over the past year, these updates enhance the original standards launched in 2021.
The revised standards are valuable for a wide range of individuals, including those who provide independent support, community brokerage, and advocacy, as well as social work practitioners and leaders. They also help supported individuals understand what quality SDS practice should entail.
You can read the revised SDS Standards here.
And there is now a new Easy Read version, which you can read here.
