Community Brokerage Network Secures Three Years of Funding to Support Ayrshire Residents

The Community Brokerage Network is excited to announce that it has secured another three years of funding to continue its vital work in Ayrshire, helping people access social care and Self-Directed Support (SDS). This funding ensures ongoing support for individuals and their carers, empowering them to navigate and make informed choices about their social care.

Funding Announced for Independent Support

New funding has been announced to help people in Scotland who use social care, and their carers, access independent support, information, advice, and advocacy. The Support in the Right Direction (SiRD) funding has been granted to 33 organisations across Scotland, with £9.2 million from the Scottish Government allocated over the next three years.

Managed by Inspiring Scotland, the SiRD 2024-27 fund will support the delivery of the Scottish Government’s Self-Directed Support (SDS) Improvement Plan 2023-27. This initiative aims to empower people to have more choice and control over their social care support.

Through SiRD, people and their carers will gain a better understanding of SDS and their social care options, feel more confident participating in social care assessments and reviews, and have increased involvement and choice when planning their social care support.
