Kerry Gilligan

Kerry is a self-employed broker with the Community Brokerage Network.  She has been registered as an Occupational Therapist since 1984 and spent much of her earlier career working with people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Kerry has also worked as a leader and manager across a range of Health & Social Care and Third Sector organisations.  She loves working with individuals and groups, supporting them to be the best version of themselves.  Kerry is a strong advocate for services that work in a strengths based way to support and respect all people.

She believes that people should have the opportunity to live life the way they want to, not to merely exist.  Becoming a broker gives Kerry the opportunity to do this by enabling them to get the most out of their individual budget.

Born in Prestwick, South Ayrshire, Kerry lived in Glasgow, London and Edinburgh before returning to her home in Burns country.  She is very proud to be part of the amazing and massive group of people she calls family – not step, not half, just family.
