Anne-Marie originally trained as a Community Worker, has a BA in Community Education, Diploma in Youth Work, Post Graduate Certificate in Social Work Management and a Masters Degree in Advanced Professional Studies. She is currently working on her PhD.

Anne-Marie has a background in Community Development with over 10 years working in the voluntary sector managing Youth and Community Projects before she joined Glasgow City Council to work in Community Care for 16 years, where she was the Head of Learning Disability in the East.

She held a range of posts including Commissioning Manager for Glasgow Learning Disability Partnership, Senior Officer in Older People and Physical Disability Team and she jointly led the initial development of self-directed support in Glasgow as one of the three Scottish Government self-directed support test sites.

Anne-Marie has a keen interest in sport and in outdoor activity.
